Lady Gaga Announces New Single ‘Hold My Hand’ From ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Soundtrack
Lady Gaga recently announced her new single, “Hold My Hand”, from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack, will be released on May 3.
“When I wrote this song for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn’t even realize the multiple layers it covered through the heart of the film, my own psyche and the nature of the world we live in,” Gaga wrote on Instagram. “I’ve been working on it for years, perfecting it, trying to make it ours. I wanted to make the music a song where we share our deep need both to be understood and to try to understand each other – a desire to be close when we feel so far away and an ability to celebrate the heroes of the life.
The singer continued: “I’m so grateful to Tom and Hans [Zimmer, composer] and Jo [Kosinski, director] for this opportunity – and it was a great experience to work with them. Me, BloodPop, Ben Rice, and everyone who worked on it with us are excited to share it with you. This song is a love letter to the world during and after a very difficult time. I wanted you to hear it for so long.

It’s the moment in the middle of the night when you start dreaming about something else, something you never imagined. We never held it against him. But I joked that one day we would work together for real. So it’s with a lot of love. enthusiasm that we agreed to sign with Mom + Pop when our deal with Warner ended in 2021. We can’t wait to be back at an independent label, on a shining roster, with Goldie and the label’s amazing team for help us start this next chapter of our lives with the release of our tenth album.
