By Juan Carlos Rodriguez (April 28, 2022, 6:52 p.m. EDT) — Ten Republican attorneys general on Wednesday asked the United States Supreme Court to strike down the Fifth Circuit and restore a Louisiana federal judge’s injunction that prevented the Biden administration from using estimates for greenhouse gas pollution costs in rulemaking.
Louisiana, Texas and the other states are trying to block the Biden administration from using the social cost of greenhouse gas measures in federal regulations. They say using the calculations could result in tougher federal standards forcing the creation of more onerous regulations that could negatively impact their economies. They said the Fifth Circuit was wrong to give the administration freedom…
