Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields beats Aaron Rodgers in this metric –

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is in the Top 10 for most merchandise sold among all NFL players in latest report

News around the Chicago Bears this season has centered on quarterback Justin Fields as he enters his second season in the NFL. The Bears’ goal is to build their offense around the former Ohio State quarterback and help him take the next step.

While general manager Ryan Poles drafted just one receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft, the team still believes in the quarterback as the future of the franchise. And the fans too apparently.

Fields is among the top-selling players by merchandise in the NFL according to the latest numbers released by the NFLPA. The quarterback ranks 8th among all players and 7th among all quarterbacks in the league, even beating rival quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the process:

Here is the list via Ari Meirov:

  1. Tom Brady
  2. Patrick Mahomes
  3. Josh Allen
  4. Joe Terrier
  5. McJones
  6. Dak Prescott
  7. George Kittle
  8. Justin Fields
  9. Aaron Rodgers
  10. Justin Herbert
  11. lamar jackson
  12. TJWatt
  13. Lamb CeeDee
  14. Aaron Donald
  15. Nick Chubb

It’s pretty impressive to be in the year for one season and this season being the one where Fields has struggled, even if it’s not entirely his fault. The big Chicago market is helping and it shows the fans haven’t let it down either.

If Fields makes that next step and the Bears are better in 2022, he’ll almost certainly move up that ranking and should end up in the Top 5.

The Bears will begin their OTAs in May, giving us our first look at the team’s new offense quarterback under Matt Eberflus and Luke Getsy. Only time will tell if there is an improvement or not in Fields’ game.
